Pitlane v0.9.1 includes v0.9.0 Paddock Assistant plus recorded GPX speed comparison, a video timestamp alignment helper and native-ready connection/reminder UI. Android hardware services are not compiled into this test APK.
NEW IN v0.9.1: location-matched GPX speed comparisons, CSV export and user-confirmed time-alignment for onboard video. Bluetooth and automatic reminder controls only work after native Android integration.
Current Android release: v0.9.1 (versionCode 32), analysis test build. GPS comparison, estimated video time alignment and native-ready controls are included; native Bluetooth, Android reminders, automatic media syncing and predictive coaching are NOT present in this APK.
Your circuit day, in one place.
Pitlane is designed as a useful track companion rather than a copy of the Afiléon Motorsport website.
Automatic lap timing
Start a GPS session once and Pitlane automatically records each completed lap and immediately starts timing the next one at the saved start/finish line.
Tracks & layouts
Select a circuit and layout — such as Brands Hatch Indy or Grand Prix — and keep separate personal bests for each configuration. Custom circuits can also be added. After a first learning lap, Pitlane positions at least four checkpoints by elapsed time and adds more on longer laps at roughly ten-second intervals.
Top track times
Lap times and public rankings remain available under More, keeping the main navigation simple while preserving approved Top 10 Pitlane laps by circuit and layout.
Your cars
Save cars, tyres and wheel-torque information for circuit use. Incorrect cars and unwanted lap times can be deleted and entered again.
Works without internet
Core track-day logging is local-first. Losing mobile data does not lock you out of Pitlane; online submissions and leaderboard refreshes wait until connectivity returns.
Motorsport & shop
Booking has a permanent place in the main navigation. Motorsport, shop, driver settings, safety information and other less-used features are grouped under More.
What happens after you tap Download.
An APK is the Android application file. Tap the downloaded Afileon-Pitlane-v0.9.1-Advanced-Analysis.apk file to install it. No extraction is required.
If Android displays Install unknown apps or Unknown source, that is expected for an app downloaded directly from a website rather than Google Play. Allow installation for the browser or My Files when prompted, return to the installer, then tap Install.
Important for existing Pitlane users: v0.9.1 uses the same signer as v0.9.0, v0.8.0 and website-matched v0.7.3, but not as legacy v0.7.2. The new backup export does not recover data from an incompatible app that has already been uninstalled. Always preserve local data before uninstalling.
Why Pitlane asks for access.
Precise location: required for automatic GPS lap timing, start/finish detection and circuit checkpoint validation. If you do not grant location access, the non-GPS areas of Pitlane can still be used.
Internet: used for update checks, leaderboard refreshes and queued leaderboard submissions. Core local logging remains available offline.
Installation permission: Android may ask the browser or file manager for permission to install this APK. This is an Android security control, not a Pitlane account permission.
Personal timing locally. Shared rankings when connected.
Pitlane separates personal logging from public leaderboard eligibility.
Your own history
GPS and manual sessions can be kept on the device for your own records. You can remove an incorrect time without affecting the rest of the session history.
GPS submissions only
Manual times are never submitted to public rankings. Only eligible automatic GPS-tracked laps can queue while offline and submit once a connection returns. Public submissions are also checked against the verified reference best for that exact circuit layout; a time faster than that reference is rejected.
Lap data, not route history
The full driven GPS trace is not uploaded as leaderboard data. Pitlane is designed to send only the information needed for a lap submission and validation.

Download the APK directly to your Android phone. No ZIP file and no extraction are required.
v0.9.1 can update compatible v0.9.0 and v0.8.0 installs sharing the same certificate; older differently signed versions require data migration.

The featured download is Pitlane v0.9.1, an advanced analysis test APK. The legacy v0.7.2 automatic-update path remains intentionally separate.

The v0.9.1 APK has a locally verified v2 signature matching v0.9.0. Hardware and notification Android source is uncompiled and not in this APK. Legacy automatic updates remain unchanged.
The legacy update manifest remains pinned to the original v0.7.2 signing line. Newer versions must not be pushed automatically across incompatible certificates.
